Hello,
I'm Fred and I'll be in Oman very soon.
Is there possibilities to fly with paragliding easily close to Muscat area?

I saw previous topics concerning this matter in this forum and informations are getting old. I'd like to know if things have changed

Is there club or other structure of paragliding in Oman?
Do we need specific authorizations to make a jump?

I guess it might be wonderful to fly from the mountain in front of the sea...

Thanks for your question - and welcome to Oman

as you have seen from previous posts on this site - the information is quite old and there have been no recent changes to everything you read about paragliding in Oman.

Sad to say that despite many years efforts on the part of a few people, the authorities here still view paragliding and other airsports as illegal - hence there is still no formal organisation supporting the activities.

Most of what you can read on this board regarding paragliding still applies. I still very occaisionally paraglide here but switched my attention to getting our microlight organisation "off the ground".
